by Maura Barton on June 2022
Shopify and HubSpot are a match made in e-commerce heaven.
With a HubSpot and Shopify integration, you can centralize your e-commerce data and automate marketing campaigns all in the HubSpot CRM. Additionally, integrating Shopify with HubSpot is easy and allows online businesses to understand their data better and see where performance is lacking.
This guide will discuss how to integrate your Shopify e-commerce store with HubSpot, what features you’ll gain access to, and tips for a successful HubSpot and Shopify integration.
Does Shopify Integrate with HubSpot?
HubSpot brings inbound marketing to e-commerce by integrating seamlessly with all of your existing Shopify stores.
Once synced, you’ll be able to view the following data shared across both platforms:
Shopify |
HubSpot |
Customers |
Contacts |
Products |
Products |
Orders |
Deals |
This information will be available to HubSpot users in their Deals Pipeline, Product Library, and Customer Contacts.
In addition, HubSpot will offer e-commerce users default reports to analyze e-commerce data, including:
- Abandoned cart recovery summary
- Order snapshot
- New sales processed summary
- Sales processed monthly vs. goals
- Lifetime order value by source
- Monthly new customers
- Average order value by source
With that in mind, let’s discuss a few features you’ll gain access to with the HubSpot Shopify integration.

HubSpot provides superior product and campaign monitoring tools to help you take your online marketing strategy to the next level. In addition, HubSpot offers automation tools and access to different marketing strategies, including email marketing.

With these benefits in mind, let’s walk through how to easily sync your Shopify store with HubSpot.

Tips for Leveraging Your HubSpot/Shopify Integration
- Onboard new customers who make a purchase with a welcome email. We provide plenty of tips to automate emails with workflows, such as automating sequence enrollments to send out emails for a drip campaign.
- Create Workflows that sync new contacts to a lifecycle stage. You can easily set new contacts from Shopify to whichever custom lifecycle stage you choose.
- Request an email before checkout to nurture abandoned cart purchases. This allows you to re-engage with customers who are very willing to make a purchase with your brand. To create an abandoned cart email, follow these steps:
- Create a new email template > + Add (top of layout inspector) > Vast Email Cart Summary > drag this to the location you want your email to be displayed > Publish Changes > Use your email template to send automated emails
- Re-engage dead contacts with an email after 3-6 months. Segment a list of users who have not engaged with your business in a few months and enroll them in a sequence to entice them to purchase with your brand. Best of all, if contacts engage with your email or unsubscribe from your emails, they will be automatically unenrolled from that sequence.
- Create targeted ads for specific ads based on engagement data furnished by both platforms. Use data from Shopify and HubSpot to create a buyer’s persona that appeals to specific customer segments. Then use HubSpot’s landing page builder to create a separate page to track transactions, clicks, and conversions. Most importantly, be sure to integrate your ad platforms into HubSpot for a singular view of your ad campaign performance.
Integrating HubSpot and Shopify is incredibly easy and helps your sales and marketing teams work together for better campaign success. By following these tips, you can get the most out of your HubSpot and Shopify integration and take marketing/advertising campaigns to the next level.
